Tanika Blair is a professional interiors and product photographer based on the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers, regularly traveling between Byron Bay and Brisbane for her clients. She has a passion for creating enticing and creative work and has been freelancing since 2013.

Professional photography is a significant factor (you could say the most important) when clients decide whether to purchase your product or service through your website, social media, or other marketing materials. Using a trusted photographer with years of experience is in your best interest.

Tanika knows and understands the importance of marketing your brand in the best possible light and strives to create captivating and unique professional photography for her clients, competing in such a competitive market.

Coming equipped with 12+ years of experience in interior design and styling. Tanika has a Diploma in Commercial Arts. It’s Tanika’s skills as both a professional photographer and interior stylist that set her apart. Her understanding and extensive experience in marketing and graphic design for a variety of small businesses provide her with the knowledge to determine where your photos will be used and how best to capture each shot for its intended purpose.

In 2022 Tanika expanded her one women show, and added photographer, Mathilde to her team. Mathilde is an experienced photographer who has worked as a second shooter, editor, and assistant for Tanika over the past three years. Now, Mathilde has taken on the role of videographer in the business. Tanika prides herself on doing all editing in-house. (nothing is sent overseas). And she will always personally review and make the final edits for each photograph. This has meant allowing Tanika to take on more shoots per week (and to no longer work through the night to keep up with editing on her own). Mathilde is local to the southern Gold Coast and works in person with Tanika in her studio on the Tweed Coast.

When she’s not consumed by her work, she’s with her young family enjoying a water activity together in the sunshine, or long lunching somewhere beautiful and delicious with her girlfriends.

What sets us apart from the rest...

Tanika has a strong background and passion for Interior Design, with over 12 years of experience in the industry, including work with UK Interior Designer David Gavin Design and Farrow & Ball. 

Tanika has been hand-selected and flown both internationally and around Australia to Photograph leading interior designers' projects, including Design Scout Interiors in Sydney, Cabin Co. in Tasmania, and Urban Road x Shaynna Blaze in Melbourne.  In 2023, Tanika and her team travelled interstate to Stradbroke Island for Interior Designer Briellyn Turton and to Perth for Accor Hotels. In 2024, she travelled to Palm Cove (just north of Cairns) for another interstate shoot for Accor Hotels. Already in 2025, Tanika has travelled to New Zealand for her first international work trip, photographing hotels in Christchurch and Lake Tekapo.

One of Tanika’s career highlights is seeing her work in or on the cover of inspiring Australian magazines. Tanika’s work has been published in The Local Project, Inside-Out Magazine, Australian Traveller, Adore Magazine, Queensland Homes, House & Garden, and Home Design Australia, as well as on the well-known interiors blog The Design Files.
