Store Photography
Over the past four years, Tanika Blair Photography has become a trusted name in retail and store photography, capturing beautifully designed spaces for some of Australia's most recognised brands, including R.M.Williams, Strand, SHEIKE, Rebecca Vallance, Status Anxiety, The Modern, MCM House, Calexico and Max Mara.
As demand for her work has grown, Tanika is regularly commissioned to travel throughout Australia, photographing new store openings, flagship locations and retail fit-outs for repeat clients.
What began as an extension of her interiors and architectural photography has become one of the most rewarding aspects of her work. Combining an appreciation for design, branding and customer experience, Tanika loves showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship behind some of the country's most beautiful retail spaces.
Photographing the Status Anxiety store in Brisbane was a fantastic opportunity to capture a retail space that perfectly reflects the brand's clean, considered and minimalist aesthetic. My focus was on showcasing the beautiful store design, visual merchandising and customer experience, while highlighting the premium materials and thoughtful details that make the space feel uniquely Status Anxiety.
I’ve been flown around Australia to photograph all 5 of The Modern furniture stores, and such a pleasure to do this for this beautiful company.
A trip in January 2026, had me flying to Melbourne and Sydney for The Modern furniture store. A first worked for The Modern to photograph their Brisbane stores, and since then I have now photographed every store they have around Australia, proud to say they preferred my photography style and have me go photograph every store, instead of organising different photographers for every store location. Melbourne we were of course meet with a morning of cloud cover, but I’m really happy with the end results of these photos despite the challenges.
I have photographed nearly every one of The Modern’s stores around Australia (only 3 more to go, we have booked in for 2026) … this is the Noosa store.
This is one of 5 shoots I have done for The Modern this year. They were so glad to hear I was travelling to Canberra for another client and could capture their Canberra store while I was there.
We had such beautiful morning sunlight, which made this shoot even more beautiful.
The second RM Williams store I have been asked to photograph, this is the new shop front in Queen St Mall, Brisbane.
It’s pretty great when you get to work with friends … this photography job was for Hayley of Archie Bolden. Hayley & I grow up together and I was so pleased when she decided to study interior architecture. And now I am just in awe of her work, and the quickly made success she is having because of her glorious talents.
