Brisbane Store Photography for Status Anxiety
Photographing the Status Anxiety store in Brisbane was a fantastic opportunity to capture a retail space that perfectly reflects the brand's clean, considered and minimalist aesthetic. My focus was on showcasing the beautiful store design, visual merchandising and customer experience, while highlighting the premium materials and thoughtful details that make the space feel uniquely Status Anxiety.

The result was a gallery that not only documented the store fit-out, but also captured the atmosphere and personality of the brand itself.

I’ve been flown around Australia to photograph all 5 of The Modern furniture stores, and such a pleasure to do this for this beautiful company.

Melbourne Store Photography for The Modern furniture store
A trip in January 2026, had me flying to Melbourne and Sydney for The Modern furniture store. A first worked for The Modern to photograph their Brisbane stores, and since then I have now photographed every store they have around Australia, proud to say they preferred my photography style and have me go photograph every store, instead of organising different photographers for every store location. Melbourne we were of course meet with a morning of cloud cover, but I’m really happy with the end results of these photos despite the challenges.

Sunshine Coast Store Photography for The Modern Furniture in Noosa

Canberra Store Photography for The Modern furniture store
This is one of 5 shoots I have done for The Modern this year. They were so glad to hear I was travelling to Canberra for another client and could capture their Canberra store while I was there.
We had such beautiful morning sunlight, which made this shoot even more beautiful.

Brisbane Store Photography for Furniture Brand MCM House
I was overjoyed to be asked to photograph MCM House’s brand new store in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, and what a beautiful store to capture. This was a 4 hr shoot photographed the day after the fit out was complete, and the day before it was opened to the public. (I’ve never had a store actually leave a day in between for photography) Unfortunately we had a very overcast/rainy day to work with for this shoot, these shoots aren’t usually able to reschedule because of weather. I would love to re-visit this store in the future to photograph it with natural sunlight streaming in.
This was a 4 hr shoot and I was able to achieve and deliver 30 photos.

Brisbane Store Photography for Sheike
A 2 hr shoot for Sheike, this is the 3rd Sheike store I have captured. An early start even though natural sunlight isn’t needed for this type of shoot. The stores of course always need to be captured before opening time, usually 9am. This Brisbane store was captured on opening day.
A few kind words from the team:
“We had the pleasure of working with Tanika to capture our new store. The resulting images are stunning and the entire process was expertly handled by Tanika ensuring a smooth hand over of assets.” - Christopher, Sheike

Pacific Fair Interior Photography for Sabo Skirt by Archie Bolden
It’s pretty great when you get to work with friends … this photography job was for Hayley of Archie Bolden. Hayley & I grow up together and I was so pleased when she decided to study interior architecture. And now I am just in awe of her work, and the quickly made success she is having because of her glorious talents.

I was over joyed to photograph one of Archie Bolden’s latest projects, the interior fit out for Sabo Skirt’s new store in Pacific Fair shopping centre. The build is by Veraniece Construction Corp, and the project also features the work of Render X.
The photo shoot was organised for a 7am start, so we had 2 hrs to get the shoot done before the doors would be open and we would have customers in our way. Of course there was no natural light we could use being in the middle of the shopping centre, but the overhead artificial light was quite good. 6+ hours of editing later, the Archie Bolden girls came away with 50+ photos to use however they wish. (this style of photo shoot is valued at $500)
