One of my favourite projects to work on is creating lifestyle product imagery for The Modern Furniture Store. For this Brisbane campaign, we hired a beautiful home through Pure Locations and spent the day transforming each space into a carefully curated setting that showcased the furniture in a natural, lived-in way.

For this Winter campaign, we hired a beautiful home through Pure Locations and spent the day transforming each space into a carefully curated setting that showcased the furniture in a natural, lived-in way.
I was fortunate to have Mathilde on the shoot, assisting throughout the day while also capturing videography content alongside the photography. These larger campaigns are always a true team effort, and I love the creative process of building a room from scratch and bringing a concept to life.
It's always a pleasure working with Sophie, The Modern Furniture Store's Marketing Director, whose vision and collaboration make every shoot enjoyable and seamless. The homeowners were also incredibly welcoming, allowing us to make full use of their beautiful property, and I hope to work with them again on future projects. The result was a collection of warm, lifestyle-focused imagery designed to showcase the furniture in a way that feels authentic, aspirational and inspiring.
Lifestyle Product Photography for The Modern Furniture - 1st Quarter Shoot
I have been photographing The Modern Furniture’s stores around Australia over the past 12 months, and I was so glad they asked me to now also do their lifestyle product photography. This was a 10 hr day. We hired Honey House for the shoot, and had the help of 3 team members from The Modern Furniture, plus myself and Mathilde to make this happen on the day. We ended up being able to capture over 100 photos, and deliver 8 videos. Of course Mathilde and I took on the stylist roles and lighting technicians. The Modern Furniture aim to do one of these lifestyle shoots per quarter. We are excited to see what we do next with these photo shoots.

We opted for natural light for this shoot, to really show the true tones of these fabrics and play silks. To see for the the shadows and highlights effects the beautiful colourful patterns of these products.

It’s all smokes and mirrors baby … don’t have a photogenic bathroom? No worries, I created these different looks around my own home, as much as I try to keep my styling chaos for a shoot in my actual studio, it always spills into other rooms of my home … depending on where the natural light is hitting and what texture from my exisiting furniture I am wanting to use.
These beautiful cosmetic bags are by Pip and Haze, we loved getting to have a little fun and be creative for this colourful brand.

For the shoot, I made up all the little ‘bathroom vignettes’ all over the house … I could of used photography lighting, but knowing what time each practical spot was going to get beautiful natural sunlight, and just left it set up, and shot each spot in the natural sunlight when it hit.
STYLING TIP:
Incorporate a mix of textures and colours to add depth and visual appeal. Combine different materials like fabrics, wood, metal, or glass to create an interesting and layered composition. Pay attention to the colour palette of the space and choose accessories that complement it.

These photos were specifically made for their collection being sold on The Iconic. A pleasure to create these product photos in my own photography studio. Bringing it all together, with backdrops and a bed-styled set up. Using a mixture of natural light and professional photography lighting.

Product Photography and Styling for Emro Designs first Wallpaper collection
Loved this shoot with Emro Designs, building these rooms from the bare minimum. We used a plain white home shoot location, hopeful that we would have beautiful natural sunlight, but were unlucky with a very overcast day. Fixed with photography lighting, made to look like natural light.
I brought all of the homewares props, and even some furniture to make this shoot come to life. Very chuffed with the end result, and feel privileged to be a small part of launching this inspiring collaboration, Emro Designs’ first wallpaper collection, with a variety of Aboriginal Artists.

I am so thankful to the Melbourne based Advertising agency, Caramel Creative, for reaching out to me to be the stylist, lighting technician and photographer for this project.
With a BIG thanks to my talented friend Erin Forbes for her styling assistance on the shoot, beauty/skincare expertise and hand modelling skills.
This shoot took place over 3 locations … Elena House in Brisbane … Ewart St Airbnb, and in my own newly renovated home.

I have been working with this talented team in their office/studio in Brisbane bringing to life their fabrics in ‘room’ settings, but for this shoot they simply posted the fabric samples to me, and I used my own home photography studio to create these shots (using props I already had on hand in my studio).

This branding photo shoot was actually complete over 2 days. Lots of prep hours, painting up backdrops, sourcing all the right ‘props’ etc. The cost was $1200, 30 edited photos plus over 70 different crops were supplied (to suit landscape, portrait and square crop styles)
