The shoot was 2 hrs long with a 7am start, before they opened to clients for the day … Brooke came away with 30 photos, a mixture of shots of the interior (with and with out people) candid photos, team photos and profile photos.

It was nice to see just how much I have learnt and taught myself in the past 12 months … for the past 7 years that I have had my business I have always offered a lot of different services …
I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph The Bay Hair Co again … I first shot this property in March 2019. The Bay Hair Co asked me back again recently, because they’ve added a new member to their team … I took the opportunity to reshoot the interior (as well as getting fresh profile shots).
It was nice to see just how much I have learnt and taught myself in the past 12 months … for the past 7 years that I have had my business I have always offered a lot of different services … which has included marketing, social media managing, graphic design, website building, interior styling and interior design … going with what ever was asked of me by clients, taking what ever work was coming in … and in the past 3 years, as I have switched to part time work (since having my babies) … I just couldn’t do it all anymore … photography was the stand out skill, that I was most needed by my clients for. So I went with that … and honestly it has been the best thing I could of done (and probably should of done a lot earlier) … focusing on photography, has meant learning so so so much in the past few years … for something I have been doing for such a long time, there was still so much to learn … and i’m sure I will always be learning more and more and more … Interior Photography is still my priority, but I have definitely expanding my photography skills to include portrait/candid photography for small business, flat lays, product vignettes … architecture and exteriors … all of these areas helping to make my overall photography skills better … I think my advantage has always been that I come from an interior design background … and can easily switch from stylist to photographer and back again when I need to, but finally focusing on photography as my main work priority has meant a huge difference in the quality of my work, and I couldn’t be happier.

We’ve always been breakfast people, but having kids made this even more so. We are a sucker for a good breaky with friends and family, over dinner out.
Owners, Justin & Mandie (and their beautiful daughter Mila, born just 2 weeks earlier then our Cash) have created the perfect little hot spot in Kirra, a popular little cafe, it is always bustling! … not just a cafe though … they do their own coffee roasting. Using state of the art technology to perfect an age old tradition of coffee roasting. Air roasting coffee to precision allows them to explore all the best qualities of the coffee bean. They source only highest quality of beans from around the world.

I had the opportunity to spend some time in their cafe this week child free, snapping photos of Justin and another very familiar face to locals, Alex (who has worked at Zephyr since the very beginning). During this COVID time, they have only just been allowed to put a couple of chairs out, and we are all hoping they will be back to normal operating soon. I can’t wait to see this place full of life again (though the takeaways have certainly kept them busy).

First shoot I’ve worked on tethered (camera connected to the lap top) and the results speak for themselves … we loved being able to work more as a team on this shoot. It meant less photos, but photos we were 100% happy with.
Ask me about photographing your next shoot tethered, it’s game changing and I should of done this years ago.

Such a unique and creative little space … this nautical Air Bnb, The Hanger … is the gorgeous work of Lauren, who owns The Borrowed Nursery on the northern Gold Coast. What an abosltuley beautiful job she has done of this home away from home.

My partner’s business, Miluca Plumbing, did all the plumbing work for this Air bnb, and what a fun project it was to make/design the custom tapeware for this bathroom.

It was even more special to visit this beautiful home again only a few weeks later, after the arrival of Baby Kaufman had arrived. Family photos of the three of them in their newborn love bubble was a must.

Introducing Acacia Textiles! ... fabrics, fabrics and more fabrics, an absolutely beautiful collection and such an awesome project to work on with Laura, Susi & Valerie ... seeing their vision come to life, fabrics they have been working on for so long ... finally put into a room ... on a bedhead, made into curtains, upholstered on sofas and more ... the planning for these shoots started back in 2019, and we shot all the collections back in January and February this year ... it’s been a long wait for this team ... it’s so wonderful to see it finally all out there! ... have a browse of their fabric collections via their website. So much goes into these types of shoots, it really is a big team effort ... we started with a completely empty room, even the walls were painted up for this ... While you are browsing their website or seeing photos being posted ... and spot pieces you like, here’s a list of all involved ... the small furniture pieces, lamps etc are from Tailored Space Interiors // all the upholstered furniture for the shoot is by Ud Furniture // coral by Shell Mac Distributors // big thanks to all the friends of mine who let me raid their linen cupboards for bedding for these shoots, I even took bedsides from one of them ... and a friends’s Dad pretty much cut down a tree for me, so that I could have the ‘leaf’ you see here ☺️ ... of course there was also many trips to HM, Kmart and Target ... so just ask if there’s anything that gets your attention, I’ll point you in the right direction.

I was lucky enough to get introduced to Imigen, by Jamie & Tim, from 4D Renovations, they did the renovations of the Bardon Abode, main bathroom/laundry and ensuite (stunning bathrooms!) … So I visited the property to shoot their renovation work … and was back their again the very next day to use their pool area for a outdoor fabric photo shoot … a very last minute shoot location change … a very lucky one to happen upon Imigen’s home the day before.
I then returned the week after … to shoot the entire home, for the home owners to advertise it for photo shoot hire. And to of course, show it off to all of you lovely people.
I’m sure many of you will appreciate Imigen’s work, making her families home into this beautiful oasis.

I love all the colour! the eclectic mix of furniture … full of interesting lines, and a variety of textures (especially that entry table, and the bookshelf) … pared back by the simple interior finishes.

This branding photo shoot was actually complete over 2 days. Lots of prep hours, painting up backdrops, sourcing all the right ‘props’ etc. The cost was $1200, 30 edited photos plus over 70 different crops were supplied (to suit landscape, portrait and square crop styles)

This is my best friends, Tegan’s thriving hair salon, Moosh Hair Studio, located on the southern end of the Gold Coast. Both Tegan and I were both so happy with this last collection of photos of her beautiful team and the stunning space Tegan has made possible for their clients.

They had me out to capture the space, with the intent of listing it with Pure Locations to hire out for photo shoot.
This shoot was complete in 2 hrs, it’s cost was $600 and the clients came away with 50 edited photos of their property.
