Palm Beach Branding Photography for Hair Salon, The Hair & The Honey
You may have already seen the website I put together for Lisa and her new business ‘The Hair & The Honey’ … it’s a hair salon that specialises in ‘hair extensions’ … we launched the website before she’d opened her salon doors, so that she could start taking bookings, we filled the website with a variety of photos from ‘Unsplash’ until the salon was complete and I was able to photograph her beautiful new space for her.

Lisa asked for an overall ‘location’ photo shoot, to capture the beauty of the interior of her hair salon. But also profile shots of herself, shots of her working her magic and detail/close up type shots of the products she uses in her salon. (another option would have been styled flat lays of the products she uses, see this post and this post for examples of my work doing flat lays).

Isle Capri Home Photography for Veraniece Construction Corp.
With thanks to the girls at Archie Bolden, I was introduced to Aaron of Veraniece Construction Corp. And I am loving photographing their building projects (and following along their work journey’s through their instagram account, Aaron does a great job of documenting the process on their instagram stories).

This home was the last photo shoot I did before our baby girl arrived a whole month early (I was a very large 34 weeks pregnant wobbling around this stunning home trying to capture it’s best angles), for a first time client, Aaron was very patient waiting for his professional photos to be edited and delivered while I juggled the new born and toddler.
A whole house shoot like this is valued at $600. (and then the other trades involved in the build have the option of purchasing photographs too, don’t hesitate to enquire about this service).

Pacific Fair Interior Photography for Sabo Skirt by Archie Bolden
It’s pretty great when you get to work with friends … this photography job was for Hayley of Archie Bolden. Hayley & I grow up together and I was so pleased when she decided to study interior architecture. And now I am just in awe of her work, and the quickly made success she is having because of her glorious talents.

I was over joyed to photograph one of Archie Bolden’s latest projects, the interior fit out for Sabo Skirt’s new store in Pacific Fair shopping centre. The build is by Veraniece Construction Corp, and the project also features the work of Render X.
The photo shoot was organised for a 7am start, so we had 2 hrs to get the shoot done before the doors would be open and we would have customers in our way. Of course there was no natural light we could use being in the middle of the shopping centre, but the overhead artificial light was quite good. 6+ hours of editing later, the Archie Bolden girls came away with 50+ photos to use however they wish. (this style of photo shoot is valued at $500)

Southern Gold Coast Branding Photography for Hair Salon, Moosh Hair Studio
To mix it up between all the glorious ‘hair’ photos, Moosh Hair Studio needed some interesting flat lays of the products they use and highly recommend for their clients. To showcase on their website, and feature on their instagram to rave about said products.

With boxes full of props in tow I set out for an afternoon of styling and photography play in their gorgeous open plan salon. (made a hell of a mess of course, so lucky we did it on a day they aren’t open to clients).
To give you more of an idea of how these kind of photos ‘just happen’ … I spent a few hours working out the theme, ideas, and sourcing props, 2 hrs in the salon capturing these shots, and about 4 hrs editing the photos. A flat lay shoot starts at $300. There were 10 ‘settings’ in total, and 16 photos supplied, edited.

Coolangatta Branding Photography for Hair Salon, The Bay Hair Co
It was such a pleasure to be asked by these 2 beauties to photograph their new hair salon in Rainbow Bay, The Bay Hair Co. Jacinta Platt did all the interior design work, a stunning job as always … and she was there on the day, to style it up to suit the photoshoot.

These clients asked for photos of the salon, portraits of themselves and vignettes of the products they use in the salon. The photos are being used for all forms of advertising … website, instagram etc.
We did the shoot first thing in the morning (we all meet there at 6am), to make use of the morning light (it is East facing) … and also to not disturb any clients, or the salons already scheduled appointments.
This style of shoot, capturing the business location, the staff members and the vignette style shots cost $500. I was on location for 2 hrs and did 6+ hours in editing. (I did not need to bring any styling props) The clients ended up with 50+ photos to use however they wish.

Gold Coast Homewares Product Photography for House Society
House Society … my gosh what a store! … I was so thrilled to work with Jessica Pulijich on the launch of her first online furniture and homewares store. I very skilled Interior Designer that was a unique and interesting take on the world of interiors. We (especially here in Australia) needed a store like Jess’s. Her own home was used as the backdrop for the photo shoot, and of course each ‘set’ was styled to perfection. I simply had to capture the magic in the best light.
Jess, my assistant Cara and I worked together on 2 days of shooting to give House Society plenty of content for her brand new website and the advertising for her business.
Head over to her website to have a good browse and enjoy the rich colours and vibrant patterns of this eclectic store.
Here’s a little peek at some of my favourite shots.

When Jacinta Platt built a brand new home in Casuarina for her and her husband Mike, I couldn’t wait to see the finished product … I’m sure I wasn’t the only one … and for those who wanted to see the inside of this talented interior designers own home, it has been a long wait … but well worth it. Finally you are able to see this beauty in all it’s glory in the glossy pages of Queensland Homes magazine … and not only that, it made it to the cover! … Jacinta and I were very excited! as you could imagine. As a long time lover of ‘interiors mags’ … to have anything in print is always a big accomplishment for me.
Here’s a little peek of Jacinta’s home, the magazine is available now from all good newsagents … and you can see even more of the home on Jacinta’s website.
I have 2 other homes I photographed that I would love to share with the world, if any one in publishing is reading this and is interested to see, don’t hesitate to get in contact. (and have many talented/stylish friends, with homes I’d love to photograph too)

Shaynna Blaze x Urban Road
An exciting styled photo shoot, and the third time I have worked with Shaynna Blaze, thanks to my ongoing work with Urban Road. Their latest collaboration together titled 'In Plane View' is a stunning collection of moody tones, representing the view from the plane window on Shaynna's travels around the world.

The photo shoot for this collection took a lot of prep work. We were basically doing a 3-day shoot in 1 day, with a lot of different people involved and a lot of organising and planning needed to make sure the day went smoothly.
The location, you may recognise? ... it is the home of ex-Block contestants Michael and Carlene Duffy. It's located in Tallebudgera and was the perfect backdrop to this collection. Their home really is beautiful.
There are many small businesses to thank for the loan of furniture and homewares to style up with the art prints including The Beach Furniture, Kira and Kira, Kip and Co and Coastal Raw. If you are curious but any particular items in the photos don't hesitate to ask, I'll point you in the right direction to find out more.
Another great part of this little project was being able to work with Jellan of Clash Studio, I have been a big fan of his work for a long time and I can't wait to see what he does next. He is an amazing videographer. He captured the gorgeous video below of the photo shoot and art collection for the launch campaign.
You can browse and purchase the collection here. A variety of sizes and frame styles are available.
Big thanks to the Urban Road girls for trying their best to keep me sane through the chaos of this crazy day.
All styling and photography by me.

Byron Bay Editorial Interior Photography of Rosetta Santucci's Home for Inside Out Magazine

If you missed it on my Instagram, I kicked a 'major goal' this month ... one of my life long dreams has been to be working on photo shoots for interiors magazines ... and Inside Out Magazine's October '17 issue hit newsagents last week featuring a home I photographed back in January ... it's my first whole home tour to be featured in a magazine ... very very exciting! ... I've done editorial work for Adore Magazine, and had 'ads' by companies like Urban Road and Cabin Co with my photos in Real Living Magazine before plus quite a few little features of my work in Home Beautiful and Country Style ... but never a whole 'home tour' and seeing my photos spread across 8 pages is just bloody awesome! ... it's the colourful home of amazing artists, Byron Bay based ... Rosetta and John Santucci ... I worked on this shoot with Clair Wayman of 'Curio & Curio' ... since this shoot I've been working on quite a few houses for the glossing pages of some of my favourite magazines ... so fingers crossed you will be seeing more homes photographed and styled by me in these pretty pages soon ... but you'll have to get your hands on this one first ... trust me, you want to check out this house.
I did work experience with Real Living Magazine fresh out of High School, it's where I first fell in love with the 'interiors' industry and started building my business not knowing where it may take me ... or what my 'goals' would be ... just that I had to be in this line of work, not matter what.
The colourful home features some favourites from beautiful brands like 'Squeak Design' throw quilt in the Main Bedroom and a 'Family Love Tree' Bedhead. 'Jatana Interiors' tiles in the Kitchen and Main Bathroom. 'Bonnie & Neil' cushions in the living room and main bedroom. HK living chairs ... you'll have to get the magazine, to check out more.
Shaynna Blaze x Urban Road
I've enjoyed working with Urban Road on all their photo shoots to release their new collections since 2014. But the most exciting has definitely been the photo shoot they flu me to Melbourne for, to shoot with Shaynna Blaze on their collaboration collections. We shot in one of Shaynna's homes, I still styled the shoot, I was full of nerves but so happy with our end result.

We were able to visit the stunning holiday home, Quamby for this photo shoot, and it was the perfect backdrop to this Tasmanian wool collection. Here's a peek at the photo shoot, check out the products here.
