It’s always a fun day when photographing Vanessa Wood Interior’s work. The stunning Burleigh apartment in the Boardwalk building was no exception.

First shoot I’ve worked on tethered (camera connected to the lap top) and the results speak for themselves … we loved being able to work more as a team on this shoot. It meant less photos, but photos we were 100% happy with.
Ask me about photographing your next shoot tethered, it’s game changing and I should of done this years ago.

A plumbers photo shoot? … yes please, I was surprisingly excited about this one. I think it’s the fact that these kind of businesses are taking their marketing seriously these days, and being able to put a creative and designer brand to their business is so great!

Together with the The Plumbing Doctor team we did 2 shoots, 1 sunrise shoot at Currumbin, to get ‘that’ banner shot. And a 2nd shoot at Bardon Abode (which you may recognise as I have now shot their 4 times) … we love your house Imigen!

Such a unique and creative little space … this nautical Air Bnb, The Hanger … is the gorgeous work of Lauren, who owns The Borrowed Nursery on the northern Gold Coast. What an abosltuley beautiful job she has done of this home away from home.

My partner’s business, Miluca Plumbing, did all the plumbing work for this Air bnb, and what a fun project it was to make/design the custom tapeware for this bathroom.

It was even more special to visit this beautiful home again only a few weeks later, after the arrival of Baby Kaufman had arrived. Family photos of the three of them in their newborn love bubble was a must.

Introducing Acacia Textiles! ... fabrics, fabrics and more fabrics, an absolutely beautiful collection and such an awesome project to work on with Laura, Susi & Valerie ... seeing their vision come to life, fabrics they have been working on for so long ... finally put into a room ... on a bedhead, made into curtains, upholstered on sofas and more ... the planning for these shoots started back in 2019, and we shot all the collections back in January and February this year ... it’s been a long wait for this team ... it’s so wonderful to see it finally all out there! ... have a browse of their fabric collections via their website. So much goes into these types of shoots, it really is a big team effort ... we started with a completely empty room, even the walls were painted up for this ... While you are browsing their website or seeing photos being posted ... and spot pieces you like, here’s a list of all involved ... the small furniture pieces, lamps etc are from Tailored Space Interiors // all the upholstered furniture for the shoot is by Ud Furniture // coral by Shell Mac Distributors // big thanks to all the friends of mine who let me raid their linen cupboards for bedding for these shoots, I even took bedsides from one of them ... and a friends’s Dad pretty much cut down a tree for me, so that I could have the ‘leaf’ you see here ☺️ ... of course there was also many trips to HM, Kmart and Target ... so just ask if there’s anything that gets your attention, I’ll point you in the right direction.

This beautiful colourful home is the work of the home owner, Imigen … isn’t she talented? … no training in the field of interior design, just raw talent.

I was lucky enough to get introduced to Imigen, by Jamie & Tim, from 4D Renovations, they did the renovations of the Bardon Abode, main bathroom/laundry and ensuite (stunning bathrooms!) … So I visited the property to shoot their renovation work … and was back their again the very next day to use their pool area for a outdoor fabric photo shoot … a very last minute shoot location change … a very lucky one to happen upon Imigen’s home the day before.
I then returned the week after … to shoot the entire home, for the home owners to advertise it for photo shoot hire. And to of course, show it off to all of you lovely people.
I’m sure many of you will appreciate Imigen’s work, making her families home into this beautiful oasis.

I love all the colour! the eclectic mix of furniture … full of interesting lines, and a variety of textures (especially that entry table, and the bookshelf) … pared back by the simple interior finishes.

This skincare collection has been years in the making and it’s so close to launching, it’s definitely going to be one to watch.
I had an absolute ball creating these photos for Cosmology’s branding.

This branding photo shoot was actually complete over 2 days. Lots of prep hours, painting up backdrops, sourcing all the right ‘props’ etc. The cost was $1200, 30 edited photos plus over 70 different crops were supplied (to suit landscape, portrait and square crop styles)

This very large home took a full day shoot to complete. It’s cost was $1200, 55 photos in total, with 12+ very complicated edits.

This is my best friends, Tegan’s thriving hair salon, Moosh Hair Studio, located on the southern end of the Gold Coast. Both Tegan and I were both so happy with this last collection of photos of her beautiful team and the stunning space Tegan has made possible for their clients.

A photo shoot of this style can generally be complete with 2 hrs on location. Putting a focus on candid shots this time, instead of flat lays (we did a separate shoot just for flat lays, see it here.) The cost is $600, and Tegan came away with 50 edited photos of her team and the space.

What a wonderful home to photograph. This family home has been featured in magazines, and became a known location for photo shoot hire, so the home owners thought why not do this more seriously.

They had me out to capture the space, with the intent of listing it with Pure Locations to hire out for photo shoot.
This shoot was complete in 2 hrs, it’s cost was $600 and the clients came away with 50 edited photos of their property.

(the shoot was a team effort of 4 … myself behinds the lens, and styling (mostly directing, as I was 33 weeks pregnant) my assistant Cara, and the wonderful Mel & Sarah from Urban Road. Because the house was so perfect mostly as is, just tweaking things here and there, the shoot only took a few hours to do. Many many hours to edit, so editing time was close to 10 hrs.)

This website has been over a year in the making … many many photo shoots later we are finally launching this beauty that has been long awaited.

We hope all of UD Furniture’s past and future clients will enjoy browsing their vast selection of sofa styles and designs … as well as bedheads, occasional chairs, dining chairs and ottomans. All made in Australia, with small lead times, quality products that will last the test of time. (my own sofa in my home is a UD Furniture sofa, and I always get them to make the sofa’s for my interior design clients, I can not recommend them enough)
The website was fun to create for a business I love … and the many photo shoots we did to show off their products were even more exciting. All the photo shoots were put together at Tailored Space Interiors, so any homewares and smaller furniture items you see in the photos are available from Tailored Space Interiors.
UD Furniture are not open to the direct public, so if you are interested in their products, contact them for a list of suppliers/interior designers who can help you bring your sofa dreams to life. Tailored Space are of course my number one recommendation, who are a stockist of UD Furniture products.
