Gold Coast Interior Photography for DNA of Design published in Adore Magazine, Summer 2022

I was so thrilled to photograph the beautiful family home of Urban Road’s Suzie. A home I visited many times, over my years working with Urban Road, so I had seen the ‘before’ and it was so great to walk in to see the after and capture this home.

It is a collaborative project with Deb and Andy of The Block (2019) … DNA of Design is their new business, which is one to watch (I’m photographing the next renovation project very soon).

This shoot was published in Adore Magazine’s, Summer 2022 issue. The feeling of seeing work in print, never gets old.

Broadbeach Interior Photography for Interior Designer Bhodz Projects

My gosh have I enjoyed working with Bhodi these past few months … we’ve captured 3 of his stunning interior design projects together. He is just as much of a perfectionist as I am, we are taking our time, styling every little detail to camera … and wow! we are both so happy with the outcome. Very much a collaborative effort.

I’m absolutely honoured to photograph Bhodi’s interior design work, an emerging Gold Coast interior designer with so much talent that is doing stunning work.

The below project is the second one we captured together, it is a Broadbeach apartment. We had another perfect cloudy day for the shoot, defusing the light beautifully, and allowing me to use just one photography light, so we could control the lighting so nicely.

Check out more of Bhodi’s work here.

Brisbane Hotel Photography for The Johnson - Art Series - Accor Hotels

It’s been so great to be adding to my portfolio, a new category … hotel photography. I’ve now photographed 8 different hotel rooms for Accor Hotels on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. Styling to the camera is so important for these photographs and even more important is the lighting. Each shoot has been carefully timed to make use of the natural sunlight direction for each room as much as possible.

The room below is the Deluxe Studio Suite, in The Johnson Art Series … location: Brisbane … book this room here.

Burleigh Heads Interior Photography for Interior Designer Kiln Design

I was thrilled to be asked by Katherine, of Kiln Design, to not only photograph this project for her, but also source and provide the styling (Katherine is based in Canberra, and flu up for the shoot day, so it just made more sense for me to do the styling for this one).

The home was empty (and part of it still a construction zone) … but you wouldn’t know would you? … very happy with our efforts, to capture this project before the home owners were moving in.

Another cloudy day for this shoot (which I love, when the view isn’t needed for the client) … we were able to use my professional photography lighting to add more lighting were it was needed (usually outside, aimed through windows, so it looks realistic).

Such a beautiful project in Burleigh Heads. Head over to Kiln Designs website to see more.

Brisbane Interior Photography for Interior Designer Marina Hirst Interiors

Shoot no. 4 for Marina Hirst Interiors, this time photographing their Tennyson interior design project. Another cloudy day (definitely like those best when photographing interiors, where the view isn’t a feature of the project)

Brisbane Interior Photography for Interior Designer Marina Hirst Interiors

The shoot started off on such a high, interior designer, Marina took me out for breakfast before we started which was so lovely. It’s so wonderful when clients become friends. Photographing Marina’s Chelmer project this time round, a little more challenging then the other shoots had been. We were given a much sunnier day, but a home that doesn’t get a whole stack of natural light coming through. This just means the shoot does slow down quite a bit, with the added lighting tasks, to light each shot the right way.

Brisbane Hotel Photography - of The Johnson Art Series, Penthouse for Accor Hotels

A pleasure to photograph this epic Penthouse for Accor Hotels. The Johnson Art Series in Brisbane is such a beautiful building. We needed the sunlight for this, and so glad it showed it’s face for this shoot (or we would of postponed).

This penthouse needed the natural sunlight to really give it the right feel, such a large beautiful space for a big group to enjoy.

Gold Coast Real Estate Photography for AJK Property

Adding the ‘feel’ to this Gold Coast apartment for its real estate photography for AJK Property. Not just your average Real Estate photography, I pride myself on taking a more editorial approach, to really capture the beauty of each individual property, no matter how grand.

Lifestyle and branding photography for Dr Tanya's Hope Island Clinic

Lifestyle and branding photography for Dr Tanya’s Hope Island Clinic on the Gold Coast.

All downlights were turned off for this shoot, and I streamed photography lighting in from outside the clinic (in the shopping mall) it was enough to compete with the ugly shopping mall lighting.

Do this beautiful clinic justice for the calming space that it is.
